BridgeportHeather
It has been recently reported on The Score that now FORMER Blackhawk GM Mike Smith has been shown the door. Bob Pullford will take over for now until the team finds a new, permanent GM. Hopefully they'll consider hiring Lombardi, who used to be the GM in San Jose, and did a helluva job building a great team. When he left, the organization suffered. And so, fellow Blackhawks fans, this is a time to celebrate...ONE OF OUR MAJOR CANCERS IN THIS ORGANIZATION IS GONE!!!

Really until they are serious about spending some money, they might as well hire Jerry Krause. The people in the organIzation are just window dressing on a condemned building. Texsox
Sorry, when Pully and Wirtz are gone then I'll celebrate. The last hockey guy with some idea of how to win was psycho Keenan. He wanted to win so bad it scared the hell out of Dollar Bill Worst and his lap dog Pulford. Name a worse owner in all of sports than Bill no tv Worst? Man I get pissed just thinking about how they've totally screwed hockey in Chicago. The Hidalgo Killer Bees have a better understanding of how to traet fans then those two jagoffs. :fyou
Soxfest
No Gm is going to succeed with B.Pulford interfering with whoever gets the job as he has the last few years.

southsider2k5
I think the only game I am going to go this year is when the Panthers are in town, so I can see my main goon Darcy Hordichuk. And that might even be comp tickets [sS crosses his fingers]
The Critic
No Gm is going to succeed with B.Pulford interfering with whoever gets the job as he has the last few years. Pully's son-in-law would have a better chance than most, though... "DAD-DEEEEEEEE, Dean really really REALLY needs to make this traaaaaaaade!!!" "Ummmm.....uhhhhhhh.....well, um.....okay, honey......uhhhhhh......" BYE BYE Smithov, you arrogant little prick!! Your defining acquisition was THEO FLEURY!!!!! AHHHH-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! DBAHO
Well it's about time. The writing was on da wall for him after their loss to Atlanta. Hopefully now the team does't shy away from it's youth policy and sigy free agents like Berezin again. But Lombardi would be a great fit, he built San Jose into a winner, and hopefully he'll do da same again in Chicago.
DBAHO
Actually I'd rather hav Marshall Johnston? da former Ottawa GM who's now in the Hawks scouting team to be our next GM rather than Lombardi.

SAVVY18
"Ummmm.....uhhhhhhh.....well, um.....okay, honey......uhhhhhh......" That was one of Pully's most coherent sentences in years. You could actually understand 3 of the words. Getting rid of Smithov is a start, but $$$$ Bill has to die to make anything different. I think Smithov did an OK job of drafting, but we will see in the future. He was awful at trades and Free Agency. He didn't make 1 impact move that turned out good. Bye Bye Smithov!! :fyou
The Critic
The Sun-Times this morning reports that the last straw was the fact that Smithov was trying to use the beat writers to suggest that Sutter needed to be fired. REAL CLASSY MOVE, YOU ASSWIPE! Pulford apparently went to the writers to confirm and then dropped the ax. What kind of f***ing lowlife would stoop to that level? I guess we found out. Good luck getting another NHL job with THAT on your resume, Mikey.

I'm really happy to see this Soviet loving sonofab**** handed his pink slip, but you are right, there is no real hope for this organ-i-zation until Wirtz/Pulford are both sent packing. SoxFanForever
As long as $Bill is around they won't be up to their full potential. Hopefully him and JR go on a flight together over the Bermuda Triangle and are never heard from again. One can wish, right?
DBAHO
Some1 please send a letter or e-mail to Roman Abromavich (Russian Billionaire, Chairmain of Chelsea FC) and beg him to buy this team of Bill. But then again, do we want to become da New York Rangers?

Name for me, if you please, any Hawk player who has done all that for this team since he left...... I won't hold my breath cause it just aint happening. When JR left that started the demise of the Blackhawk franchise.

True but there aren't enough small budget teams like Ottawa who r winnin. Maybe a Salary Cap is on the agenda in the next CBA to help stop rising player salaries and to keep a level playing field.
