[Heyman] Eric Hosmer has a no-trade and hasn’t consented yet. Belief is they will figure this out however, one way or another.

Do it Eric

lmao what if Eric Hosmer derails this deal for Preller? I'd laugh my ass off.

Caulfield must be salivating at this lineup...

1. 2B Cronenworth

2. SS Tatis

3. RF Soto

4. 3B Machado

5. 1B Bell

6. LF Profar

7. DH Voit

8. C Nola

9. CF Grisham

That is one very poor defensive team.  Sure can hit, tho.

Must be nice to add 3 all-star level bats at the deadline...

I was just saying how San Diego's offense looked bad yesterday, but now they just added Soto, Bell, and Tatis will come off the IL soon.

Taking live BP starting this Thursday and likely starts minor league assignment late next week.

Interestingly, Padres and Dodgers match up again this weekend.  Phillies and Cards pushing but this will be tough to overcome.

Funny thing is that Hosmer gets a huge salary cut down to $13+ million from $21 (player option to decline) next year and just lost his job to Josh Bell, another lefty.

Bob Melvin has his work cut out for him.

I don’t follow other teams prospects. I really don’t have the time to do it , that’s why I come here so I can learn from the rest of you as I know many of you follow the minor leagues and draft picks .

A player like Soto is going to cut into a team's top 10 prospects.

If Padres don't even make it to the NLCS....are they the biggest disappoint of all time?

They still have a 2-3 year window, which gets longer if they extend Soto

it's no worries. But interestingly the padres org ranking fell into the backhalf of the league. But they still were very top heavy, and had a very good draft last year in Jackson Merrill and James Wood ( they get free draft picks because owners like JR would rather have a less competitive team than share revenue).

But they fill up their tanks pretty quickly. Still have Merrill too.

That would be this year’s White Sox, biggest disappointment, lol.

It’s not exactly easy to sit for nearly a year and come right back in the middle of a pennant race.

Machado, Cronenworth, Nola/Alfaro and Grisham all solid, along with Kim and Abrams.

God knows what version of Tatis they get.  Might stay in OF upon return with Kim at SS.

Abrams got traded.

Yes I understand that, I just didn’t know how many of them were in their top ten. I figured a couple but didn’t realize all four. Thanks though I appreciate everyone responding, I am doing this at work and came over here once the deal was announced.
