Sox won't fire TLR, but would reassign him after season

Sox are a microcosm of the business world. A CEO would never ever fire a buddy a second time. The first time was probably only OK'ed cause it was 40 years ago and the two hadn't developed that long relationship yet. TLR would have to start costing Jerry a lot of money before he'd actually boot him from the 'family.' Once you could tie loss of a lot of $$ to Tony, then and only then would it be bye bye.

Steve Jobs lol?  That second run worked out pretty pretty good for investors.

The thing I'm worried about is TLR having influence in the front office even after he leaves the dugout. Like if Hahn wants Player A in free agency, but he's overruled by TLR.

I can see why top free agents would avoid the White Sox like the plague. They seem so unorganized with no structure. I mean who actually runs the club?? Is it Reinsdorf? Kenny WIlliams? La Russa? We know it's not Hahn because he can't even pick his own manager. Free agents who want to win have to see that.

Honestly with his previous record, his being assigned is worse.

It is, but you have to figure he is right in there now with all personnel decisions.  The farther away the better. Hopefully someone can get through to J R and can keep him on the payroll with a big title, but basically be a ghost payroll person.

Based on the moves we have made so far, that sure rings true.  Maybe this is a way of edging him out of the day to day at least.

He failed in front offices in three places and is now failing in the dugout.  For Christ sake it's done....the drunkard needs to just go the f home already.

A week from today there will be no playoff concerns and his inability to manage will be as clear as it is currently is to most already.

The White Sox biggest mistake was not letting the drunk go 35 years ago it was letting Francona go.

Francona is 10x the manger the druknard ever was and he was the Sox AA manager....that was a franchise altering mistake.

Tigers’ announcers (Dan Dickerson and 2006-07 Sox nemesis Craig Monroe) calling out the White Sox for a “lack of joy” playing the game, as well as chemistry/clubhouse issues.

Say they don’t believe they have a run in them against better competition, team hasn’t played well even with Tim Anderson.

Pointed out the Cueto quotes as well.  That’s raising lots of eyebrows around the league.

Could theoretically be down 4 games after tonight to CLE.  Right now it’s 3 back.

Credited Indians’ pitching, Clase, Karinchak added back to pen, speed, defense, contact rate and consistently pushing opposing teams with aggressive baserunning and clutch hitting (especially at home).  Comped Kwan and Michael Brantley.  Brilliant trades like stealing Clase from the Rangers in Kluber deal, etc.

Jose Ramirez now with 94 RBI’s, btw.
