Kopech to IL, Martin up.

Frankly shocked they didn't again play shorthanded for three or four days trying to figure out what was wrong with him.

Like seemingly every guy part of the core group for the rebuild Kopech just can't stay healthy. And TLR absolutely did him no favors yesterday.

I bet it’s VV. He did a good job soaking up some innings yesterday coming in so I would think maybe he slides into Kopech’s schedule taking the ball in 4 days?

I don't know if he is conditioned past say 50 pitches though.  He hasn't built up at all.

At least with Kopech there (seemingly) was a strategy to give him periodic rest for innings management anyways, so I am guessing it was somewhat of a no-brainer for that reason.

I would think that would have been the most likely, unless Banks is here for a few days as a long man after yesterday's disaster, with Martin getting the call up at the Kopech start slot.

that is my guess.
