Some umps just suck. The Sox were next to last in favor last year cause Zach Collins was the worst framer in baseball. With him gone, we instantly jumped up the favor list. The fact that they have to have a project "Birmingham" because they need to have all of their best instructors in one spot says enough about the development of this organization. The Twins, Dodgers, Rays, etc. don't have to send all of their top prospects to one place to learn to play baseball because they have a way, a singular voice on how to play that brand of baseball. Kelly's peripherals are actually pretty good. He's been a combination of unlucky and bad because he has no control.
