Ok so barring a total collapse, which we are know won’t happen we’ll be 3 out. Cleveland has 5 with the twins we have 3 with Detroit. Sweep Detroit Minnesota takes 3 out of 5 anther 1 out and then THE SERIES with Cleveland win just 2 out of 3 and we’re tied for first.

The problem is that Cleveland has a super easy schedule after next week while we play the Twins and Padres. We need to be up a few games or own the tiebreaker to have a shot.

They cancelled this game even though it stopped raining saying the playing surface was too dangerous to play on. They might have been right, but they also somehow managed to skip a Dylan Cease vs. Aaron Civale matchup for the 2nd time this season.

Yes but the odds of Minnesota sweeping the 5 games, are slim and none, we can win 7 straight, is it possible? Yes, feasible no. Cleveland could be overconfident playing Texas and KC. KC loves to play spoiler. It’ll be interesting.

Against the White Sox, but they roll over for everyone else.

Just tuned got off work and tuned in. What in the world was Cleveland thinking about throwing that guy on the mound? Glad the Sox decided to show up

Them winning 6 in a row.  1 game series were a win was not necessary for them to go to a more competitive series. They are not the team put in a position to where going undefeated the rest of the season if almost necessary.

Minny has to show up and POUND the ball to get into the bullpen. With no off days the rest of the season for Cleveland that is the only way Sox can steal a sweep the next series is if they are completely out of pitching options.

This was a reschedule from a rainout when it wasn't even raining. They said the field wouldnt drain although the feed never showed them actually working on the field. Basically they wanted to avoid Cease. Should have been forced to forfeit for not having a ready field and that would have been better for them anyways.

Similarly earlier in the year they canceled a game due to covid precautions when it was the same pitching match-up. None of their players tested positive.
