Pretty sure they traded $1 million to help the Dodgers sign that pretty highly-touted Korean pitcher...leaving them with roughly $400K remaining. Johno
So i heard no rumors on Yariel Rodriguez and where he might be signing, does anyone feel the White Sox might take a run at him?

Do we have any intel on players we are signing? Previously in the Pipeline lists or BA they would notate or hint at who was signing where, but they seemed to mostly avoid that this time around. On pipeline's top 50 you can see some of the players wearing team gear (none were wearing Sox stuff from when i last looked), but the majority were just wearing normal baseball attire. PolishPrince34
Yes its awfully quiet on what players MLB teams are signing. I wonder if the league enforced that.

Sleepy Harold
Quote 4. Fernando Cruz AGE 17 BATS R DOB 11/13/2006 THROWS R HT 6' 0" WT 180 Video scouting report » Scouting grades: Hit: 50 | Power: 55 | Run: 55 | Arm: 50 | Field: 55 | Overall: 55 Cruz sports a tantalizing set of tools that brim with upside. The native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic is credited for showing baseball instincts far beyond his 17 years. Known as a hitter capable of spraying the ball to all fields due to his tremendously strong hands and forearms, Cruz has enough strength in his swing to enable him to hit to right field as if he were a left-handed batter. With an easy load and superb bat speed, his sound offensive approach portends to lend itself to 20-25 homer power as he matures. Despite being known as an aggressive swinger, he has an advanced feel for the barrel. An alert defender with a quick first step and an above-average arm, Cruz has the look and tools to hold down the shortstop position long-term. His 6-foot, 180-pound frame is muscular and lean with little body fat, aiding in him already grading out as a plus runner who can impact the game both with the glove and on the basepaths. Cruz trains with Mejia Top 10, a member of MLB’s Trainer Partnership Program. Quote 11. Eduardo Herrera AGE 17 BATS R DOB 10/23/2006 THROWS R HT 6' 2" WT 215 Video scouting report » Scouting grades: Hit: 50 | Power: 60 | Run: 50 | Arm: 55 | Field: 50 | Overall: 55 As far as pure power hitters are concerned, Herrera’s potential ranks among the best in this year’s class. With a hulking 6-foot-2, 200-pound frame, the teen ultimately projects to be a big bat in the middle of a lineup. It’s worth noting that scouts rave about his ability to make adjustments from pitch to pitch at the plate and handle both fastball and offspeed offerings. The shortstop-turned-third baseman has drawn comparisons to a teenage Albert Pujols -- in terms of body type and raw power -- and scouts have applauded his competitiveness. Hererra played for the Venezuelan 18-and-under National Team when he was just 15 years old. For his size, Herrera is a decent runner and has the work ethic to get even better with time. Defensively, Herrera made the switch over to third base after outgrowing shortstop. At the hot corner, he is an average defender and could eventually move to first if he outgrows third. Herrera trains in Venezuela with Alexis Salazar, a member of MLB’s Trainer Partnership Program. This is certainly an encouraging development on the INTL front. bmags
Pretty wild the talent Curacao has put out recently for such a teeny island. Haven't really hit well on brothers yet but bloodlines would be probably the smartest thing to bet on with a 16 year old.

PolishPrince34
This is awesome news. Definitely like going after the 16 year old kids and taking more attempts than the older Cuban route. Totally got excited by Cruz, but of course lasted a good 30 seconds.
