I've only watched him so much, but every time I've watched him he's hammered them. Even ones almost in the dirt. It's funny cause Schmidt hung 2 sliders and Gonzalez just fouled them off. He finally throws a good one low and away, but close to the zone, and Gonzalez walks him off. caulfield12
Both post season heroes this year with multiple game winners weren't wanted by their original teams. Alvarez traded by the Dodgers for a reliever and anyone could have claimed Oscar Gonzalez last year.

"Of course, this organization also left Gonzalez unprotected from the Rule 5 draft last winter. Had the lockout not spurred the cancellation of the annual event, Gonzalez would likely be hacking away in another uniform. Gonzalez insists he wasn’t concerned about that, nor was he re-evaluating his future when he became a minor-league free agent for a week after the 2021 season ended. None of that matters now, anyway." Edited October 16, 2022 by caulfield12
caulfield12
Trayce Thompson throwing some leather. Tyler Anderson cruising so far. Crazy day in baseball and NCAAF Top 10 upsets, at least four teams go down.
caulfield12
Roberts would be 12-5 in elimination games after starting out 4-4. Pretty incredible to get 8 out of 9 when 55-60% would seem a lot more realistic, at best. Edited October 16, 2022 by caulfield12
maxjusttyped
Rough outing for old friend Tommy Kahnle. He allowed the Padres right back in this thing.
maxjusttyped
It's cool seeing teams that aggressively improved their roster like the Padres and Phillies being rewarded for it.

flavum
Good stuff. And if they were wearing the city connects, I’d totally be rooting for the Dodgers.
maxjusttyped
For as great as the Dodgers are, their team is light on dominant relievers. They have a bunch of good ones but no one they can bring it to just blow people away.

chw42
The problem was that Roberts totally rushed Vesia coming into this game. Hell, he was even gonna let Almonte pitch to Cronenworth and changed his mind after the first pitch. All the Dodgers fans want Roberts fired for that move lol. They had the resources to take a swing for Hader or probably even our Liam. Continuing to build a pen filled with good, not great relievers works well in the regular season but it seems to cost them every October.

caulfield12
Have to go with the hot hand there and not pull Almonte after two huge outs. Suarez can be wild from time to time and will be super amped up. In theory, Hader will get the last four outs, although all the evidence in the world says to start him with just one clean inning.
