aboz56
I like PG diamond notes, he talks about Boston too much but overall I think he is pretty good. Talks about Boston too much? No way....
YASNY
For the record, when Gammons comes on SC or BBTN ... I stop and listen to what he has to say. When I go to the ESPN website, I always look to see if Gammons has put out anything knew. Someone complained that Gammons reports rumors .... hell what fun is the offseason without rumors? That's what makes it interesting.
DBAHO
Pretty sure he said on Sportscenter today that the Yanks had reservations on Colon and Millwood about signing them. He also said Jeff Weaver was a certainity to be traded, and he would win wherever he went next year.

He did say they had reservations, but we all know that reservations aside, if the dominos fall a certian way (esp. if Pettite leaves), then big George can kill all "reservations" in a NY minute. SuperSteve
Just a second ago, SportsCenter just said the Mets were the front runners for Kaz Matsui. Am I crazy, I would figure they stick with Reyes.

SoxFanForever
If he goes the Mets then he must be a bust. They only invest in overpaid s***ty players.
Dick Allen
I think this type of prediction and saying Colon will sign with the Sox are different. Gammons gets goos behind the scenes sources. If something changes at the drop of a hat, that is not his fault. He has the personal numbers for all these GM's and agents. Maybe he knows something about Colon we don't. Judging by what KW said in the papers, Gammons is wrong again. Shocking.
DonkeyKongerko
Anyone else notice we saw a lot less Gammons on BBTN down the stretch this year. It seemed like he was on the crew less often and usually doing location interviews. Every year his predictions seem to get worse yet he is still some sort of guru. I think Gammons needs to stop talking like a baseball god.

I think Gammons needs to stop talking like a baseball god. Bobby Valentine made him s*** his pants. Earlier this year he was talking about how some team changed their philosophy, and they were using hit and runs, going the other way, etc. to win games. Valentine mentioned the team hit 5 homeruns to win the game that night, and Gammons started squirming, trying to get his little lips over his wooden teeth. It was pretty funny. Valentine called him out many times, and suddenly Gammons wasn't in the studio as much.
