Really hoping for a big year from Burke. 60% of the Sox' starting rotation contracts-out after this season (although I think they have an option for a 2nd year of Clevenger).

I also think a next wave could be options for 2024 like Cristian Mena, Burke, Jonathan Cannon and Thompson

Good call. Mena apparently looked good on the backfields. He could come pretty quick. Saw you Sosa prediction on Twitter. I think it is spot on. Any chance Haseley > Sheets?

BA had prospect breakout articles up today. More White Sox mentions then we are used to I'd say.

Quote

LHP Noah Schultz, White Sox
Extended spring training • Age 19

The appeal of Schultz is hard to miss. He’s a 6-foot-9 lefthander who delivers high-90s fastballs from a low release angle. It’s an atypical look that has the potential to give pro hitters fits. Schultz has advanced feel for his mid-80s slider and throws a changeup that will be a developmental focus this season. If he throws enough strikes, Schultz has upside to match his stature. He was sidelined with a left flexor strain and should join Low-A Kannapolis when healthy.

RHP Peyton Pallette, White Sox
Low-A Kannapolis • Age: 21

Prior to Tommy John surgery in early 2022, the Arkansas righthander was earmarked for the first round, but risk aversion led him to fall to the White Sox in the second round. Whether he can get back to his college arsenal—a 93-95 mph fastball, a plus, high-spin curveball and a serviceable changeup—remains to be seen, but from the look that Josh Norris got, that seems possible. It may take a while for us to get a good feel for how he will fare against upper-level pro hitters, but this is a selection similar to Mason Miller, Walker Buehler and possibly Jake Eder, where a prospect is somewhat forgotten because of injury but in hindsight shouldn’t have left our consciousness in the first place.

Cristian Mena and Bryan Ramos were also listed under "other third basemen" and "other pitchers."

Mena on the 50 prospects standing out to scouts in spring training article.

Cristian Mena, RHP, White Sox

Mena has been outstanding in his young pro career but still retains a relatively low profile considering his age and performance relative to his level. The righthander, who will pitch all season at 20 years old, boasts a three-pitch mix and a level of poise befitting a much more veteran player. He starts his mix with a low-90s fastball that peaks around 95 and complements it with a top-down curveball in the low 80s and a changeup in the high 80s that projects to be above-average. Mena finished the 2022 season in Double-A as part of Chicago’s “Project Birmingham” and should return to the level in 2023, when he’ll likely be one of the youngest pitchers in the classification.

The mention of the changeup projecting to be above average is a good sign. Not much else that we didn't already know though.
