Out of 30 teams. 2% growth isn't even keeping up with inflation. Certainly going to see a lot more than 2% growth in the average MLB contract for players in arbitration and FA in terms of a year on year comparison. Actually 2% growth is keeping up with inflation now. Where does that article say the Braves had the best growth in the league?

Still one of the most loyal fanbases in the sport, though. There has to be a lot of frustration with the stranglehold the even smaller market Brewers have on the division. That is a crazy number for the NFL, let alone NBA.

It's probably more like Bezos is willing to put together a syndicate of people willing to back a portion of the bank loans to buy the team. Doesn't the NBA show VC firms as well? But they want to get $6 billion apiece for two franchises for expansion, which would mean a check of $400 million to every NBA owner, all 30. So they're trying to establish a price for this Celtics team." https://www.cbsnews.com/boston/news/jeff-bezos-boston-celtics-sale-bill-simmons-grousbeck-nba/ On top of that, they don't own TD Garden, so probably a new stadium build like Ballmer in LA.
