Harry Chappas
Anyone have this handy assuming Thomas picks up his $6M option? Looks like Buerhle has no interest in signing long term as they already are planning for arbitration. How much cash is out there to get us to $60M? KipWellsFan
Don't you think with Frank's big power year in 2003 that he could get more than 6 million elsewhere?
southsider2k5
Don't you think with Frank's big power year in 2003 that he could get more than 6 million elsewhere? Maybe, but definately not long term. It really would depend on the moves by the money teams. There might not be a team with 8-10 mil to spend on a DH. Al Lopez Ghost (old)
Today's Tribune says "Williams and Reinsdorf huddled Monday to discuss the team's budget. After spending $52 milllion on last year's team, the 2004 payroll will likely increase to the $55 million to $60 million range." Also, today's Southtown said the Frank is telling friends he will exercise his $6 million option.
