Having an incredible breakout.

Of course Cubs needed a better guy there than Michael Fulmer.

That's not the guy who lives in the van down by the river with Chris Farley is it?

Just remembered it was Daniel Norris lol.

Heyward of all Dodgers with the key at bat of the game.

Yeah, Steele is better than Giolito and Kopech

Interesting how the Cubs decided to overhaul their pitching dev after years of bad results and now it's paying dividends. I wonder why they didn't continue to bang their head into a wall repeatedly like the White Sox do.

Their player development is top-notch now.  The way they unlock velocity in the minors is incredible.

Padres will put it together eventually on offense...but they're looking very disinterested/listless in the early going.

Cubs really on a roll but they still have to get past the Brewers and Cardinals (who also look pretty bad early)...can't imagine the Pirates won't start to fade eventually.

Jed Hoyer and Carter Hawkins the Cubs have put together a solid team, and it has paid dividends.

Was impressed when Hoyer answered questions honestly the past few years and the FO looked at where they were weak and stepped up accordingly.

Sox backloaded both 2023 FA acquisitions Benintendi ($8.6M on $15M AAV deal) and Clevinger ($4.0M 2024 mutual option).
