Clevinger is the second best starter on the team.  He’s excellent.

He was terrible last year.

The new pitch clock and having the weight of the world against him seems to have motivated him to a degree.

Or not...lol.

It seems pretty clear he was hurt last year and is healthy again. His stuff is way better than last season.

Clevinger will probably be pretty good if he can sustain this velo

but still.... meh.

That's always the trick...second time through the order.

His body language is a lot better than previously. Used to be a notoriously slow worker.  Now he's just playing catch...just kind of like F it, whatever happens happens attitude.

Well this is his second season coming off major surgery.

Unfortunately the same can't be said for Kopech, but that might be a result of the lower body issues the last two years.

Highest chase rate and lowest average exit velo of Grandal's career so far

When all is said and done...Hahn's mismatch of Grandal, Lynn, bullpen veterans and assorted castoffs did the Sox young core no favors.

Giolito also going from All-Star to backend starter hasn't helped much either.
