Cy Young Porzio
This guy is a pretty damn god QB, even though he through a poor pass at the end of the game where i good one prolly wouldve gotten the browns out of bounds for the field go, but he still had a hell of a game. I dont know his contract situation and tradability, and i think he is fairly young but i am not sure so someone tell me. Anyways, he could be a pretty good starter (hinting) the bears make a move for a guy with some experience. He did play better than Couch i think this year, and getting him could allow a different 1st pick other than a qb like a back or reciever and save qb for the 2nd or 3rd round. Chisoxfn
Holcombe won't be going anywhere. The Browns are really high on this guy. I suggested a couple threads back going after Tim Couch who is expected to be available. Holcombe is a real good qb.
Cy Young Porzio
i dunno, by the way they treat both QB's it seems easier to get Holcombe over Couch, cuz he is still their starting guy.
witesoxfan
by Chisoxfn: Holcombe is a real good qb. So is Couch. If I had to make a comparison, it would be bad....but I'm thinking this could be like the Patriots situation of last year(Bledsoe/Brady)....they have one real strong armed guy in Couch....and a good QB in Holcombe who makes nice, accurate passes, though this is not good if you want to go deep or you need to throw a bullet. I'm not sure which I'd trade....with two fast receivers like the Browns have, I'd actually prefer a guy like Couch, he can throw the bomb and be successful with it....this spreads out the defense and thus, creates big holes for the RB, William Green or Jamel White, whoever they would use. Holcombe would be good for an offense with a lot of receiver, though they don't necessarily have to be fast. That kind of offense would do short little plays, much like the Patriots....a lot of screens and quick outs and 5 yard slants....etc.
Mathew
Not that the Browns are out I can compliment them I guess a little to me Holcombe=Pennington which doesn't seem to be that bad. Favre overthrows a lot of people with that arm of his. The Warner Brady Pennington touch pass has plenty of merrit.
witesoxfan
Holcombe is like Chad Pennington....only problem is, you really need a lot of receivers for that to work....around 4-5 decent ones with 1-2 of those being good....Quincy Morgan and Dennis Northcutt are both pretty good receivers....so they will need 2-3 decent receivers....they can use both running backs and their tight end....along with backups....maybe it could work, and then they'd occasionally go for the long ball. The Bears should do that....trade their first round pick of 2004 and maybe a 2nd or 3rd round pick of 2005 for Tim Couch....they could then concentrate on getting a very good receiver first....Charlie Rogers or someone like that. Maybe they could get a running back to replace A-Train, who sucked ass this year.....which brings up the point of "If only McGahee hadn't gotten injured." I'd give them either next years 1st or this years 2nd and 3rd or 2nd and 4th. I'd then do what I could to move up to get Rogers. Of course, I am also not against getting Leftwich, then going with a safety or corner in the 2nd (if someone like Doss falls) and then in the 3rd go with a pretty good reciever (A good reciever project in the late first, early 2nd almost always falls to the 3rd)
Cy Young Porzio
yea i really like doss to replace mike green but i dont think he will fall to the 2nd round. We should just sign jake plummer and trade him for a mid rounder too!
