We now have replaced that expectation with a likely zero WAR player in Andrus, or even negative. Oh look, there's about 15 wins less just in those players listed. Somehow, the pitching staff papered over a lot of the issues with the position players last year. Well, that's obviously what Hahn will do in order to salvage his career, but come up a day late and a dollar short. No major moves will or can be made before late May regardless. If things continue in this direction it's hard to envision anyone in the C Suite returning next year. Prognosticating a rebuild strategy is worthless. This is what I don’t think people who want the team blown up understand very well. This isn’t the Chicago Bears. It’s the same owner who won’t fire his front office. If the Sox are as bad as I think they are going to be they may trade a bunch of guys IMO and try to get 3-4 players in each deal including 1-2 GOOD prospects in each deal. For instance Eloy, Robert, Timmy, Vaughn, Sheets and both catchers and Burger plus Cease and Liam. Just get a ton of guys back including several GOOD prospects. The reason u can do this is there are no fan favorites anymore thus no uproar for the next rebuild. Maybe keep one stud as the Royals have done with Salvy. Mabe ours is Robert.
