At least Hahn stayed busy dodging media Monday

Somehow this seems just about right in 2023...(yet another disappointing Sox first rounder) Brian Anderson at 8-38 Northwestern scouting the kids of Hahn and Boyer (and others, theoretically) while the GM of the 14-28 White Sox looks on and dodges any meetings with the media.

Only Jim Thome in this story seems to have discovered the perfect place in his life... has found the balance that Ventura's was turned upside down for when he never wanted to manage the Sox in the first place.

Nepotism?   Nah.  It's all just a coincidence.

Btw, where is Landon Thome in current national scouting rankings?

Really feels more and more like the Sox leadership triumvirate is as insulated as the current military junta/dictatorship in Thailand.  Voters/Sox fans can vote literally or figuratively (not attending games and expressing discontent, sponsors decline incredible "opportunities") while possessing massive majorities advocating for reform and a modernized analtyical approach, but nothing EVER really changes to the actual power structure itself.

As we all sadly realize we can't control the power structure. We are stuck with a POS owner and GM.

However as you suggested correctly, the fans could send a message and quit showing up to games, whether they already paid for tickets or not. I really don't give a s%*# if JR still makes money crap, the horrible look of a really empty stadium like the Oakland A's...would send a louder message to this POS owner.

The fact is, if that wouldn't make JR make some major changes, then we as Sox fans all totally fucked until JR passes away.

Still can’t believe it’s just May and Sox, Royals and A’s are already the three eliminated MLB teams for all intents and purposes.

Starting to feel almost surreal.

If not yet willing to surrender…this week should really put the nail in the coffin.  Only 120 games remaining.

I've seen Landon Thome play on his travel team and it is not surprising that a D1 college team is watching him.  He can probably do better than NU actually.  He is a freshman, so time will tell.  Athleticism tends to be genetic so claiming nepotism is kind of silly in sports.

Don't forget Drone Demolition Night next Saturday. I want 500 drones out there defending freedom and hierarchy.

Was talking more about Hahn or Boyer's kids ending up with Northwestern scholarships.

Don't doubt Thome's kid will make an impact.  Quality human being and diligent, disciplined worker.

Just chuckling more about KW and Ozzie's kids and Tatis' brother/s...at least Alek Thomas hasn't destroyed the baseball world yet.

This is arguably post of the year, if not decade.

They badly need to do a South Park/Team America World Police collaboration with the White Sox...

Imagine all the potential drone injuries that could bring Moncada Robert Eloy and Grandal into the script.

Then Lance Lynn could end up eating one of the drones...not to mention cartoon Benetti and Stone doing Nationwide, Sox math, concessions promos, weird Sox fans dialing in from mom's basement, etc.

Cartoon Berto would be priceless.

Could do the roundtable discussion in Chicago/Swerski accents about sorry state of Chicago sports franchises, etc.  Chonk the Chubby River Turtle.  Endless set of characters.  Ozzie.  Nick Swisher's blow up doll.   AI ChatGPT5 Hahn.

Duel to the death/Battle Royale between Chipper Connor McKnight, Our Chuck Garfein, Ranger Rongey, Dan Hayes, Len Kasper,  Bruce Levine, Joe Cowley, Jay Mariotti and Nicky Two Strikes Madrigal.

Phil Rogers and Mark Gonzales sitting it out.

Since when has Brooks Boyer been "chief revenue officer," by the way?

Boyer is Reinsdorf John McDonough, and I’d fire him ahead of even Rick Hahn as my first action as new owner.

Anderson is angling for a Sox job. Cronyism is the one attribute required to succeed in a Reinsdorf organIzation.

Gonzo has taken a full time position in the media department at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix. He starts on May 22. He'll be missed, excellent baseball writer for a long time.

That's almost like the Twins pitching coach leaving for LSU... but everyone seems to be joining that NIL superteam.

Nobody wants to deal with Chicago weather or taxes these days.

At any rate, that's why I left him and Rogers out.  Phil is retired now or still a part timer for BA and other regional publications that will run his stuff?
