Burger 9/18 in 76 at-bats.

1.021 OPS

Career wise, .255, 18, 47 in just 282 at-bats.  .837 OPS.

No matter what happens the rest of the season, he has now become a core element of "rebuild/retool" and probably the best feel good story for the Sox since Carroll (QB from Purdue) pitching into lifetime MLB benefits and maybe Billy Hamilton two seasons ago.  Robert leading the majors in XBH/3rd in homers and 95% of his former self in CF, too.

Win tonight and only 8 games behind MIN before Memorial Day, lol.

Need Burger in the lineup. Eloy is the RF when healthy (assuming no injuries). Dude gets hurt regardless if he DH’s or not.

1B Vaughn

2B Moncada

3B Burger

SS Anderson

LF Benintendi

CF Robert

RF Eloy/Sheets

C Grandal

DH Sheets/Eloy

Let 'em bang away.

Late game defensive substitutions: Moncada to 3B, Andrus in at 2B and Hasely replaces Eloy/Sheets in RF.

This exact scenario is why I don't mind Burger behind Yaz too much. Yaz gets on base at a good enough clip, but it's nice to have power behind him to keep him from clogging up traffic.

But who in their right mind bats perhaps your best HR hitter 8th when you 1 and 2 hitters have 0 HR's.  All teams have a better win percentage when they hit 2 or more HR's so our HR hitters need more opportunities and our 0 HR guys need less opportunities.

And Gavin despite the hate for him hits RHP pretty well . Grandal should bat 8th because he isn't healthy, fast or young enough to be in the middle of the lineup. Tim and Beni 6th and 7th. Tim for health reasons also.

hate to toot my own horn, but if any of the guys I've been arguing with about JB being platooned want

to say anything, nows the time. maybe AV and Gavin should do the platooning..

Burger is my Waterloo on this board. Dude is an incredible story and when healthy all he does is mash. I was dead wrong about him.

Clevinger is shaky ......I would take 5 and get him out

He'll pitch at least the 6th, too. Grifol so rarely gets 6 or more from a starter, and the pitch count is still pretty low. This is a pretty awful Cleveland team without Ramirez and Naylor, I think Chicago knows that as well.
