Yankees Injuries

Recommended Posts

The Yankees front office is keeping the status of Aaron Judge’s big toe out of the media so far. No IL stint has been announced yet, but they could always post-date it. Many rumors swirling he may have broke his toe making the diving catch.

Nestor Cortes is also a recent addition to the IL for a shoulder injury. Former Sox Carlos Rodon and Ian Hamilton are also out for the series.

Yea we might catch a break. Boone said Judge is day to day but from his tone it sounded like he might need a 10 day IL stint. Their pitching has been hit hard with injuries as you noted.

It's amazing with the number of injuries they have had they are still...what? 10  games over .500 in the toughest division in baseball.

Have to respect that organization. Winning seems to be the most important thing to them.

Easiest games ever. This team will never win until they stop acting like playing the Yanks and Cubs is a high honor. Act like you never heard of them.

Fwiw, White Sox have usually played the Red Sox pretty tough for much of the last two decades...minus the worst rebuild years.

Of course historically, another matter with NY.

Against what other team do the Chicago White Sox have the worst record against? The Chicago White Sox have their worst lifetime winning percentage (minimum 100 games) against the New York Yankees, where the White Sox have a 830-1079 record (43.5% win percentage) over their 1,909 regular season games.

White Sox have/had a winning record against the Yankees in the 1970's, 80's and 90's.

White Sox have a winning record at home against the Yankees (508-470), but 583-386 at Yankee Stadium, a 60.2% winning percentage.

89-64 Yankees over the White Sox during the Hahn/KW years.

Great point! Amazing when you have owners and a GM who are damn good at their job and really care about winning.

They are 11 games over .500 and 6.5 games back in the toughest division in baseball. The Sox who play in the worst division in baseball are 9 games under 500 and only 5.5 games out.

Severino still throwing in mid to high 90's, just doesn't have as much command of it as he needs after all the injuries and non-action.

Hard to develop any type of rhythm in that situation.

Then we are the perfect team for him to face because we will chase everything he throws

No team has a winning record against the Yankees. Hard to erase the Yankees head start at this point, aided by KKK Landis’ gutting the White Sox’ roster in 1920. The White Sox were the best American League team of the era, not the Yankees, until The Purge.

The Cubs have the worst all time record, 4-23.

Houston is under .500 in the regular season, but .500 overall when the postseason is included.

Winning Percentage against the other original eight American League Franchises:

  1. .597 Baltimore
  2. .595 Oakland
  3. .595 Minnesota
  4. .565 Chicago
  5. .560 Cleveland
  6. .549 Boston
  7. .532 Detroit
