Great...he blew two ground balls (errors) with a man on third who scored. He made a very good play last night to nab a guy.

Making mistakes two out of every three times isn't a recipe for success. We'll see what happens as we get a larger sample size.

These takes are sad, though consistent with your MO over the decades here and WSI.

Tim has played well the past month after recovering from injury, and well to excellent throughout his White Sox career.

This didn't age well today did it?

TA is like Ozzie, he started to believe his press clippings.

He can't stay healthy, he's lost all power it seems, his concentration on the field disappears and it leads to issues and his arrogance is a turn-off because he's not backing it up. "I'm the best player on the field..."

Really? Then get your head out of your ass and show it.

I also suspect, pure speculation on my part, he's pissed he's not being offered a nine figure extension. I've got news for him, unless JR is gone he won't be getting it with the White Sox and the way he's playing probably not from anyone else.

Both of the posts I addressed in this thread were ludicrous.

I cannot stand watching Anderson play any longer, he does nothing well.

I pointed out he went 2 for 5 and added Grifol's quote about Tim's outstanding defensive play. My post is accurate.

First of all, Tim was credited with zero errors last night. The entire team had a nine game errorless streak through last night. Your post has more errors than Tim or the entire team from May 30th through this walk-off winner game.

My other point is winning game threads should be a positive posting experience. Recapping the joy of watching or listening to a White Sox victory. That is why most of us are here.

Here is a list of your entire first win thread posts for their fun 6-1 stretch, including a series win in New York:

  • 6/9 White Sox 2 Miami 1: "Anytime the offense wants to show up and make things easier for the pitchers is fine by me."
  • 6/8 White Sox 6 New York A. L. 5: Did not post.
  • 6/7 White Sox 3 New York A. L. 2: "Offense is still horrible. Giving the pitching staff little to no room for error."
  • 6/4 White Sox 6 Detroit 2: "They have some momentum going into New York. We'll see what happens, even with all their injuries the Yankees are still damn good. "
  • 6/3 White Sox 2 Detroit 1: "This offense is terrible, just plain brutal."
  • 6/2 White Sox 3 Detroit 0: "You can in the sense that they were held hitless by a rookie pitcher making his big league debut. Who wasn't lightening up the minor leagues."

The 6/4 game was the one where you had a semblance of positive comments in a win celebration thread. This is what I am getting at. Most Sox fans like to celebrate and post in a victory / win thread their enjoyment of the White Sox victory they just watched, listened to or followed online. Most here were appreciative of their efforts and genuinely happy.

Also, I try to celebrate the careers of White Sox who played well throughout their careers. Rather than hate and trash their best players, if the only time you enjoy the all time greats in White Sox history or reminiscing abut something that happened decades, a half century or further back, than it's not a rewarding fan experience.

Each fan is entitled to experience the team in his or her own fashion.

Bottom line, regardless of what the numbers say (and as you well know stats can be manipulated to show day is night and night is day along with 2+2=5) the rebuild is a complete failure, the core players have been mediocre at best, can't stay healthy and the win-lost record is the ultimate arbitrator.

"Error" or no "error" being charged Anderson screwed up yet another play in a key situation.

But no one is stopping you from taking a "positive" "rose colored" approach to another lost season of failure. That is certainly your right.

My bottom line is winning, at least winning more games than you lose when all is said and done. Anything else is totally meaningless to me.

I for one find nothing to be positive about when the club ends the year in third place 10 games or so under .500 with an incompetent, dysfunctional and inept front office/ownership still in place.

But again to each his own and I'm not ripping you for your approach.

Most people who read my posts know I am critical when warranted. Most also enjoy celebrating when the occasion arises.

Again, most of your drivel are points against topics I did not raise in my posts, and are not Germaine about my posts or the posts I addressed.

Best to utilize the ignore function for the first time since I ignored a Mod after I first joined.

You post fwar and bwar and abc war numbers showing supposedly how "good" guys like Anderson, Moncada et al are.

Then the only question that remains is, if these guys are so good, why has this rebuild been a failure? (and I realize they aren't totally responsible for the failure)

Regarding the ignore function you have to do what you think best, again that's your right, just like it is your right to celebrate as you see fit.

No problem.

He just responded ‘to each his own’ after you went to great lengths for chastising him because you don’t like his posts. Last I checked this board wasn’t designed to specifically please you. No one is here to make you happy with posts you find palatable. You’re basically just bullying at this point. If you have a different opinion then maybe state your opinion rather than repeatedly attack posters you don’t like

Just addressing the weak and inaccurate posts, and constant pissing on the White Sox within victory threads. You are the one dictating who can post what and attacking other posters, bitching about a days old conversation settled amicably that had noting to do with you. Perhaps heed your own advice.

Are you honestly claiming I am bullying other posters? Because that was my advice.

And you honestly believe telling someone you will have to put them on ignore is ‘amicable?’ Laughable man

What's laughable is your numerous posts chiming on on a days old conversation Lip and I have stated our respective opinions and moved on.

Yeah objecting to bullying is the same as bullying itself.

it’s not like I read Lips’ comments and ask myself whether I’d like to know SSHM what thinks about Lip, and I hope expounds on it on a public forum with voluminous amounts of replies on the subject. It just happens. If you don’t want responses to your b**** fests don’t post them on a forun
