Checking for sure. I was hoping one of the Red Wings was gonna deck da little pip squeak Danton from St. Louis on ESPN last night. Ruutu's the only forward, maybe Calder and Bell, who can check for da Blackhawks, hence why they're so bad.

Hockey is by far my favorite sport...BY FAR!!! I picked up a taste for the game first because of the fighting. Now I love more than that, but the entire game, and all that comes with it! So, I can't vote in this poll, since there isn't a single aspect of the game that is the sole reason I watch the game. I love it all!!!

Anyone who doesn't say fighting is lying.  I love watching hockey live.  No sport moves as fast, or as unpredictable.

I can only watch it live, so I end up seeing it like once every two years.

And your right, I know damn well that i watch it for fighting and huge checks :headbang

Ducks got tickets for 10 bucks this year so I may check out a few games.

Blackhawks have tickets for $8 for students who present their student IDs! :headbang

I'm gonna use that baby years after I graduate. If $Bill is gonna constantly rip off the fans, I'm gonna go rip him off too! I suggest others doing the same.

All of the above.

Agreed. All of the above.

Since I had to choose one, I'm going with goaltending.

I was always a fan of the goalies as a kid ( Tony Esposito, Gerry Cheevers, Ken Dryden, Bernie Parent, Gump Worsley, Cesare Maniago ), and a fantastic save is more exciting to me than a great goal or hard hit.

C'mon now, obviously I am all for the fighting. During the regular season, I like to see some hard play.

The playoffs are a little different. I jump on the underdogs bandwagons (I'd cheer for the Hawks, but we all know they have trouble getting into the playoffs), and watch alot of hockey for the game then. I really have no interest in regular season hockey, and I have never understood the fourh column in the win-loss-tie record.

Overtime losses.

Why do they count them, or what's the deal. A loss is a loss, is it not.

Anyone who doesn't say fighting is lying.

I enjoy a fight here and there, but I don't like it when the game goons its way out of control.

I am, after all, there to see HOCKEY. If all I wanted to see was punching, I'd go to a boxing match ( although at a heavyweight fight, you're more likely to see hugging than punching ).

I do like seeing a fight build up - you see the goons bump each other around a little, you see them jawing at each other, and you just KNOW they're gonna go. Then they give each other that look, and IT'S ON!

They went to it a couple of years ago because the last 5 minutes of a tie game, and all of overtime everyone played not to lose, because they didn't want to lose the point. Now with being guarenteed a point for going to OT no matter what it gives people incentive to try to get the extra point for winning.
