GASHWOUND
UCONN and Duke 1 and 2 in pre-season poll...shocking news.. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?i...artnersite=espn I'm out
SuperSteve
I am happy with number 3 in the preseason poll. This poll doesn't mean that much, I hope State can prove it again this year. No final fours in two years is a drought for Izzo.
southsider2k5
Duke has a good shot at it this year, as does Syracuse. It will be interesting to see how the season plays out. It does sound like the big ten will be down overall this year.

aboz56
I am happy with number 3 in the preseason poll. This poll doesn't mean that much, I hope State can prove it again this year. No final fours in two years is a drought for Izzo. They'll be back in the Final Four this year, you can count on that. Got to the Elite 8 last season and no one even expected them to get out of the second round. Davis is going to have a great year and I think Ager is going to develop into a star. Gotta love the depth at the guard position with Ager, Hill, Torbert and Brown. This team is going to be a lot of fun to watch. Izzo is great for college basketball, which is the main reason I've been a State fan since he took over there.
southsider2k5
I just got done reading about Gonzaga. They are rated #12, and are bringing back all 5 of their starters, plus they got a big defensive specialist transfer in. I can't wait until hoops tips off! Elcaballo45
same with me, although i do like the NBA, college basketball is better imo Yeah, no question... Im always amazed how slow an NBA game goes... the pace is horrible.... fouls, timeouts.... you name it.... Not to mention there is no passion.... the atmosphere is so much better in a college game.... at least in the major conferences they are... go illini! ChiSox_Sonix
the best sporting event of the year is arguably the ncaa mens tourney. I dont know if i wanna call it the best, but if its a good tourney (like the last few years), its entertaining as hell, even if your team gets bounced early, its still captivating and keeps your interest. whitesoxfan99
HOYAS will be in the top 25 by seasons end, no doubt How do you figure? They were barely over .500 last year and lost their best player to the NBA draft.

I just know it, Bouman and freeman will step up to replace Sweetney, and sophy Cook will be great
ChiSox_Sonix
I just know it, Bouman and freeman will step up to replace Sweetney, and sophy Cook will be great i dunno about that, they lost Brazzel right? But the Big East is gonna make it tough on them with Syracuse, St Johns will have a better team, UConn is the best team in the country, 'Nova will have a much improved team. I dont know about G'Town, dont follow them THAT closely, but i think it'd be hard for them to crack the top 25, we'll see tho
whitesoxfan99
I just know it, Bouman and freeman will step up to replace Sweetney, and sophy Cook will be great So if they step up to replace Sweeney what exactly does that mean. They replace the production of by far the best player on a very mediocre team. Anything is possible but the chances are very remote.

southsider2k5
You can't tell me that a high school state tourny is better than the NCAA March Madness, that's blasphemy. You obviously never went to a HS state finals in Indiana. I have been to both an NCAA final 4, (the year AZ beat KY in OT from Indy) and a couple of HS state finals in the same building (the Hoosier Dome) and there was SOOO much more electricity, noise, and excitement for the HS game. The NCAA's are a much more nuetral crowd. For the HS finals you can see the lines where the colors changed between the 4 different HS's.
