Timmy U
Another rough outing for Reyes in the DSL. 5bb in 2.2. No reason to be optimistic so far.
Timmy U
Tough game for Nunez 0-4 3K. Probably his worst game this season. Hopefully, it's just a blip.
Timmy U
ACL in a slugfest right now, losing 7-6. Ronny Hernandez is 3-3. Left-handed hitting catcher who was good in the DSL last year. I think he is officially on the prospect radar.
Timmy U
Last year's 7th rounder Mark McLaughlin keeps getting absolutely scorched in the ACL. I believe the release watch for him has begun.
Autumn Dreamin
Happy Noah Schultz Day to all who observe. Curious to see if they clear him to work a bit deeper today.
Autumn Dreamin
Schultz got into and then out of some trouble in the 2nd. Ump did him no favors when it comes to avoiding deep counts, so he gets pulled at 53 pitches in the 3rd: 2.1IP, 4H, 5K, 1BB. Also:

Timmy U
Colby Smelley is a terrible defensive catcher.
Timmy U
Kannapolis and Charlotte are both currently getting no hit. Kanny has only one position player (Baldwin) that you can even imagine playing A+ let alone the majors, but Charlotte has Sosa and Moncada and they are being no hit by Drew Hutchison! It’s a truly terrible system outside of 4-5 players. At least Schultz seems to be an exciting prospect going forward.

Schweitzer’s defense let him down tonight, but he had a good debut in A+. Nolasco has also been let down by the defense, but he has looked very good in relief of Schultz. They just don’t have many position players.

Autumn Dreamin
Decent AA Debut for Cannon: 4IP, 3R (2ER), 3K, 3BB.

As indicated by the 3 walks his command was not sharp. Yoelvin Silven got lit, but the Barons have stormed back to tie it 6-6.
Timmy U
2 rbi double for Popeye. 3-5, HR, 2b, 3 rbi.
Autumn Dreamin
Bases loaded double down the LF line from Popeye grabs an 8-6 lead in the 8th for the Baron's. Ramos follows with a sac fly to shallow right that scores Tatum from 3rd. Tatum had to use all of his speed to make it, but thankfully he's got plenty. Barons lead 9-6, with 8 unanswered runs since being down 1-6.
Timmy U
Gil Luna pitched well for the Barons 1.2 1H (infield) 1BB 3K. For some reason they took him out with 2 on 2 outs and a lefty coming out for a right handed. Stivors immediately gave up both inherited runners. Deserved a better fate. Timmy U
Lotta luck against the Barons in the 9th. 2 straight super weak infield hits and an error ties the game.
Timmy U
Birmingham wins in the 11th. Cespedes threw out a guy at home to key the victory.
Autumn Dreamin
Barons put their Trust in Tristan in his AA debut, so he stayed in for top 10 after questionable defense gave up the tying run top 9. He pays them back with a scoreless frame, stranding the free runner. Barons fail to score in the bottom half (pop out, Tatum IBB, Popeye GIDP). Top 11 starts with a leadoff walk that also advanced the runner to 3rd on a WP. But then a strikeout, and a fly ball to center right which would have scored the go ahead run if not for a fantastic throw home by Cespedes for the inning ending DP. Bottom 11 starts with a Ramos single to center that probably should have scored Popeye from 2nd, but he held up. A walk to load the bases, and then Mieses walks it off with a base hit down the LF line. Fun win for Bham against the best team in their league. Lots of scouts in attendance apparently, for the Marlins pitching prospect that started the game.
