White Sox Baseball is like . . .

White Sox baseball is like being in an abusive relationship. You love them; you want to give and share happiness with them. But all you ever get back is disappointment and pain. And as that pain and disappointment is being dished out on us, we’re constantly being treated with disdain; reminded that this pain is all we deserve and we should be thankful for whatever we get.

White Sox Baseball is like having a drunk, abusive father.

You’re born into it and really can’t do much to change it. You realize they are never going to change but you hold out hope things will change, and never do. Every so often they’ll surprise you with a good deed, and you think this may be the turning point, but they always go back to their old ways. You’ve given up on them, but deep down all you want is for them to love you back, even though you know it won’t happen.

(After I wrote that I realized how dark that was, and thankful my dad has zero of those qualities ?)
