Lol. The White Sox apparently have a player on the roster that has sleep issues, and their training staff encouraged him to sleep in the clubhouse? This s%*# is just insane. Like, if you have a professional athlete with that issue, address the fucking issue so he can sleep at night. Because he's certainly not operating at 100% if his issues are THAT bad.

Why would he be allowed to leave? The Sox had a game to play, and he was the second catcher... The all-star break starts when it starts for everyone.

He made a comment in the interview that "the only thing I'm thinking about a day before the break is my lake house and spending time with my family, since I haven't spent enough time with them". What???

I wrote that before seeing the interview. I was thinking issues like physical therapy? Family issue? Team doctor visit?

I get it. We all want to think things aren't as bad as they are, but they really are this bad. Likely much worse than we believe, actually. Because it's very rare for dirty laundry to be aired in the MLB. When it is, it's usually just a small piece of the puzzle.

They maybe thinking let's deal with this in the off season. Sleep meds are a challenge to work with. Lots of side affects.

Like my good friend, a cub fan told me earlier given the state of affairs here, we have 2 choices, contract the Sox or move them to another city that might appreciate a MLB team

He may have a point

You're assuming the Sox conduct themselves like a major league team.

Many would wonder if that is the case with this organization.

So he thinks he addressed some attitude problems at the trade deadline? WtF is he talking about?

WTF is right! Is this POS Hahn suggesting Burger and Giolito were attitude problems. I sure hope he wasn't and maybe it was Middleton, Lynn or Kelly, My god, he is so full of BS with the hints and BS implications without specifics.

Hahn just keeps showing us another higher level of incompetency of not only being horrible GM, but now showing us his lack of integrity with his delusional thinking, that he can con the fans and media that this Sox team chemistry and culture is just hunky dory.

Why didn't he just leave? Didn't Bartolo Colon do that once??

I’m not one to stick up for TA, but which one is it? Everyone is saying the clubhouse needs a vocal leader who will speak up and lead the team. Fans  cannot criticize the man for speaking up against bullshit like that but in the next breath complain that no one in the locker room is speaking up or taking control of the club house. Good on Tim for calling bullshit what it is.

Not saying it is wrong for TA to say something but don't think a smartass comment in front of other teammates is the approach a good leader takes.  It's not surprising that type of comment wasn't received well.

I believe they are bad. I've been solidly on the side of this organization is the worst in baseball. But reacting to half of a story is the kind of poor management that this organization needs to stop.

Santos is really missing out on an opportunity with Sleep Number adjustable beds!

Rich Hahn is such a fucking clown. This guy is so over his head trying to run this team. He sounds like a guy running a little league baseball team. Just clueless. Absolutely clueless.

I wouldn’t want him coaching little league.

Rick Hahn (probably): "Jake Burger's attitude was too positive about the game of baseball, so I handled that."

A veteran player publicly approaches management to ask to leave early, when the Sox still have a game to play, and he's the only backup... They tell him no, and he complains. In the open clubhouse. In front of teammates. He SHOULD be called out on it. It's ridiculous, and it shows how fucking rotten this organization is. The fact that he slapped TA and there were NO REPURCUSSIONS shows how fucked up the culture here is.

“The Sox play checkers where others teams play chess” when it comes to injury prevention, conditioning, nutrition, sleep schedules is a phrase I had heard mentioned.
