wrathofhahn
Yankees place struggling Carlos Rodon on IL in latest setback The hamstring issue is the latest setback for Rodon, whose season was delayed by a forearm muscle strain and back discomfort. After signing a six-year, $162 million contract in the offseason, he did not make his Yankees debut until July 7. Exactly a month later, he is back on the shelf. In his six starts between IL stints, Rodon posted a 7.33 ERA with 25 strikeouts and 18 walks in 27 innings. https://nypost.com/2023/08/07/yankees-place-carlos-rodon-on-il-with-hamstring-injury/ Edited August 7, 2023 by wrathofhahn

Texsox
They rushed him back. The Sox medical staff was so much better with him. Lol

Lol Lets be honest now that Rodon has his longterm deal he never was going to stay healthy. Some players like being on the IL. EloyJenkins
Outside of not getting a magical season out of him via qualifying offer...sox were correct on not giving him anything of value.
wegner
I really like Hard Carl but it was always very risky to give him a big long term contract.
