2025 will there be more White Sox or Barons in the Sox line up?  Vaughn and Robert probably locks, but Andrus, Remillard, Sheets, and Grandal no chance. Montgomery, Ramos, Quero with good chances.  Popeye would have a shot. Tatum and Elko longer odds.  Mena also has a shot, but so does Touki.

Mena's great outing is ended by the ump show.

Strikes out the first two he faces in the 7th. Makes a perfect pitch on 2-2 for what should have been the last out to K the side.

He starts walking off the mound, but doesn't get the call and the offended ump doesn't give him the next call either. Both were strikes, but the batter walks and he gets the hook.

Still, 6.2IP, 4H, 2ER, 4H, 2BB, 10K.

Speaking of good pitching lines, Schweitzer also turned in a gem. 6IP, 0ER, 4H, 2BB, 2K.

He was in line for the W, as the Dash led 3-0 into the 9th, but Eric Adler couldn't hold the lead in a rare bad outing.

The bats pick him up by adding on 2 in extras, and given a second chance in the 10th, he holds on. Dash win 5-4.

Willits was 2-4 with a RBI in his WS debut. Baldwin was 1-4 with a RBI and run scored.

Dash offensive mainstays Burke (1-4, 2BB, 1R) and Chapelli (2-4, 1BB, 1R) also had good nights.

Montgomery plunked by Montgomery 2 times then Montgomery worked a BB against Montgomery. Montgomery got chased early, in Montgomery.

Im happy with how bham is now stacking up.

To me this is why getting guys like remillard and Elko are good moves even if you aren’t expecting them to be top 100 guys (overstatement).

Now you have an older guy who won wins a college World Series, plays with emotion and can be a leader while a bunch of prospects gather like Colson and Ramos.

And yes I think that matters even though minors is about development. Sox have shown horrible minors teams are a sign of poor org health.

Love me some Tim Elko. Would be great if he could continue developing and get a shot and stick in an MLB lineup. Of course, he wasn't a first round pick so people on here will be down on him for that.

Elko feels like the definition of a rising tide lifts all boats. He's taking pressure off of the other prospects by just being steady and competent, which is so useful and something we've sorely needed.

It's also great that Shirley spent a 10th round pick on him vs. a second rounder like Hostetler.
