Bob Sacamano
Didn't see this posted anywhere but the Sox traded for Tyler Naquin yesterday for cash and he reported to Charlotte. Minor league filler. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/08/brewers-trade-tyler-naquin-white-sox.html

GreenSox
He'll be up, if Trayce falters (or continues to falter). As Pedro said during his bizarre interview with MLB radio, this is not the time for player development. The schedule sets up for them to get a lot of wins the last 2 months.
flavum
The franchise record for players used in a season is 51 (2017 and 2018). Sox are at 50 and will probably blow by 51 soon.

Why would he be up? They have someone just like him with Victor Reyes. Granted either one could be up and not get any playing time. Neither on is an On base machine and neither one can field decently. Equally fast both , strong arms, Naquin's a bit stronger. Both corner OFs but left fielders . Timmy U
This org is weird. I assume Naquin is a minor league FA at the end of the year. Just add him to the Haseley, Frazier, Reyes pile. Pedro is a moron. If you are not going to do player dev in a 100 loss season, when are you doing it?

Grifol cares more about wins and losses than anyone else with his job on the line...Hahn made such a big deal in the press conference about winning "that" night's game, etc. In his eyes (Hahn's), they're still in their window and competing...just battling to get back from that "wretched" (used that phrase from Pride and Prejudice twice) start. The Kids Can Play
Ahh, the genius of Hahn and Grifol. Let's go waste money on a player who hasn't played since the end of the 2022 season and did not make one of the 30 MLB rosters for 2023. He is 32 years old and his last season with the Mets in 2022 had a slash line of: .203/.246/.390/.636. Of course knowing you are not making the playoffs and probably losing over 100 games, let's not think of bringing up some position players to handle RF like Victor Reyes, who is 28 years old, switch hitter and doing well enough at Charlotte to deserve a shot finally. The 2023 Sox Mantra continues on: Stupid Is as Stupid Does! Edited August 8, 2023 by The Kids Can Play 1

Pedro keeps raising the bar on his level of stupidity. This 2023 second half season with a W-L of 48-68 is not the time for player development. Just brilliant!

Colome's Hat
This is actually a solid move that quite frankly should have been done last year. I wish we had a competent coaching staff so that they could unlock the power in his game.
