Because he seems to like to f*** over young players and those are much more important.  He makes the team worse and is the epitome of a buffon.

Yeah, the "Who cares? The team will suck anyway" comments are always a little odd to me. There's a lot more at stake than just the win-loss record for this year's team.

Maybe it does. Pedros last 7 seasons, 2 partials seasons and already over 200 games under .500. Fire this loser.

Ok. I've finally read Pedro's comments about the interference call....I would like him fired on the basis of that nonsense alone.

Or....now the Royals are much better without him Getz Watson etc.

Coincidence?

I’m glad I didn’t take the same approach in my short and pretty unsuccessful boxing career.

Yes it is

Idk man, to quote Harold, maybe the Royals de-stanked their org by nuking Watson, Grifol, Wong, Moore and Matheny.

That's not even mentioning the players.

This clown can't be gone any sooner.  Easily one of the worst managers in franchise history

The first manager I knew was Don Kessinger.

Since then it is Bevington and Grifol at the bottom.  I’m not sure who is worse.

How in the world could Pedro have impressed anyone in an interview?  Did he have a ventriloquist behind a curtain or something?

I'm guessing he said what Hahn and Kenny wanted to hear then blew smoke up JR's rear end.

I mean this guy was with the Royals for a decade and they passed on him twice for their managerial opening.

That should have been a major red flag.

Last Year, every game they lost was the end of the world for Grifol? I guess he's embraced losing now.

This is why he needs fired.  They’ve lost so many games in the past season and so far this year that the manager legit doesn’t mind losing anymore.  If that takes hold in the locker room (it has), it is completely toxic for any young player.

Dude he is one of the worst managers in LEAGUE history.  I know JR is a shitty owner, but making, perhaps, the worst GM and Manager hired in history in the middle of what was supposed to be a competitive window is wild.

Who was Kessinger's primary pitching coach to run the staff. Certainly Don was too busy hitting .230 and playing defense to be concentrating on managing a pitching staff during the game.

Bruce Dal Canton and Stan Williams were his pitching coaches.
