i’m predicting that Pedro will be fired tomorrow.   Today’s disaster will be the final straw.

Nah, he’s lasting until the end of the season.  There have been several disasters and he’s still survived.

There have been more than several disasters. Grifol is not going anywhere. Won't make much if a difference if he did.

Woody Allen did say that 90% of success is just showing up.

He even sucks at dodging and deflecting.

He sucked at hitting, sucked at player development, sucks at building a team, sucks at media management, has a goofy deer-in-the-headlights look on him perpetually.

Is there anything he’s good at?

Ask Gordon Beckham what he thinks.

But Jerry won't pay Grifol to go away for pennies...

Jerry sucks but this isn’t exactly a good or smart thing the pistons have done, Monty and Grifol aren’t even in the same universe when it comes to being able to coach a team

I see Pedro has Colas back in his doghouse.  Hasn't started in a week.  Wouldn't even let him pinch hit for Nickie Lopez.

Did Colas mess up a play in the field or something?  He actually started to hit.

Leads the team in OBP, but showing no power at all.
But I doubt Pedro makes his decisions on such things anyway.

Contenders are more willing to play young players than Pedro is.

What is to be gained by the White Sox or Colas having him watch games from the dugout? It makes zero sense.

I'd say the talent is so bad that in evaluating Pedro it's all about players. Do they think he's a total buffoon or OK. Shoulda never fired Ricky. But since he's long gone ... if the players 'respect' Pedro let's say on a 2 of 5 scale he could stay. If they think he's a 0 or 1 out of 5 get rid of him. He's been here long enuf I don't think many fans care cause they know the talent is that bad.

Nothing makes sense with this team.  Older players, bad players, and players that won’t be here next season (and won’t be traded for much) have all received more playing time than Colas.

Grossman

Fletcher

The list of what makes sense is much shorter than what doesn't.

Sox get the lead runner on in the 8th, and Pedro refuses to pinch hit for any of the next 3 hitters,.

The players have got to know what a raging incompetent that management has saddled them with - that can't help.  If the FO wants to put on a clown act instead of hiring a professional manager, why shouldn't they act any differently?

I was wondering why Mendick and his .580 OPS was hitting, especially knowing Hader has the 9th,. He is a bad manager. They are going to suck regardless until they get better players, but it’s time to put this clueless bastard out to pasture.

He will argue that Mendick had a better overall chance against Harder than the LH Colas.
