It is pretty nice that virtually everyday Birmingham has a decent prospect pitching.

In the DSL, two homers for Mogollon.  At 17 years old, is it time to get a little excited?  K rate at around 15% and walks about equal Ks.  .314/ .414/ .967. Maybe comes to ACL next year?

For the Barons you've got Nastrini, Mena, Cannon, Bush, Thompson and Kelley working on piggybacking.

That's pretty fun.

As for Mogollon, let's get on the hype train.

Interesting second inning. No strikeouts from Pallete. Fly out followed by a single and double error on the LF which advanced the runner to 3rd. Then a fly out and throw the runner out at home from CF to end the inning.

Adrian Gil is another 17 yr old whose BA and OBP is higher than Mongollon's  while slugging is slightly less. .331 .472  .472  .944 Gil 16 days younger than Mongollon and both from Venezuela. 6' 193 2nd base. RH

The 2 HR's by Mongollon gives him 8 on the season. Badlers Tweet said 6 but that was from 2 days ago so didnt count the 2 today.

Jacob Gonzalez first home run. 106 off the bat, 395'. 3-0 Cannonballers.

The HR confirms my thoughts about him pulling the ball more. His swing to LF reminds me of Robin Ventura, it's unnatural and awkward.  I believe, like Ventura, maybe he's better off goin LCF to dead pull and give up trying to go the other way.
