Quote Here’s the breakdown as it was told to my by police on scene. Obese woman hides a gun in a fold of fat. The woman then attempted to discretely remove this firearm and it discharged striking her in the leg and then an innocent gets grazed in the stomach. Extremely embarrassing for the Sox and their security staff. Consistent with reports yesterday that those involved were released from (or escorted out of) the stadium, as the perp and the woman she was with were transported to area hospitals. Far more likely than the magic bullet theory 2.0 from a mile away, especially if casings were found. Have to believe her embarrassing FUPA "gun pouch" details will be left out of public reports, but hope someone files a FOIA request for the police reports. https://cwbchicago.com/2023/08/gunfire-that-injured-2-sox-fans-likely-originated-inside-ballpark-chicago-police.html Quote Two sources within the White Sox organization told CWBChicago that the most seriously injured woman, a 46-year-old who received a gunshot wound to her thigh, triggered a metal detector as she entered the ballpark before the game. But she was cleared and allowed to proceed. The second victim, 26, declined medical attention because her injury was not serious.

On the outside, GM puts together great looking roster, owner hires even older crony who destroys team, GM gets fired. Unless you really follow the team, it seems plausible. Getting the medical report which states the bullet is lodged in the persons leg, and was not in the seat behind, makes it impossible to believe it could have been anything other than fired by them or near them. I still don’t buy a cover up. This person may have been able to ditch the weapon as the security said the team didn’t know she was shot until she was in the ambulance. Probable she could ditch the weapon since apparently she was walked out.

Paulie4Pres
None of that makes any sense. How did nobody hear the gunshot? How did someone pickup a fairly immaculate looking bullet after? How do you hide a fucking gun under a fat roll and walk all that way with it, without it falling out? The gun went off right in the seats with those people around, and nobody heard the gun shot, or saw her gun? Come on. 1

There is not much more they can do. They will need to have women at each gate if they are going to start groping / patting down people who continue to set off the metal detectors on multiple attempts. What about people with metal plates? They have limited options without turning off customers. They can’t have a TSA style system with cancer machines and the escalations those agents are able to get away with. And with the wages they pay, and the staff they hire, I don’t expect diligence to be thorough or long lasting once this blows over.

TV only interviewed one fan, last name Miller, and he stated he heard a shot. Nobody else aired, but CPD and CWS likely had additional witnesses. The TV interview was also accurate when the reporter stated the suspected persons involved were escorted out of the stadium. They were taken to the hospital, not arrested. Those initial magic bullet reports were worse than the BS from the Warren Commission. The CYA CWS CPD statements offered minimal information. The White Sox were clearly lying when they stated it was unclear whether the shots were fired inside or outside the stadium, based on the statements from multiple CWS employees. Well, there's pretty much nothing out there as far as official reporting is concerned. I was going off of the clip I saw. Gun shots are loud. Especially in a space like that. You would have thought people would have reacted very, very differently if a gun went off 20 feet away from them. People didn't even notice, it seems. All I can think is perhaps the dumb ass had the muzzle against her leg, and her leg muffled the gunshot drastically. Especially if she was fat. Either way, if someone snuck a gun in like that, the White Sox should be in deep s%*#. There's nothing this organization does well. Not even security...
South Side Hit Men
This report from local Fox states many people were fleeing the scene, and that Police requested the game be stopped, without further details. https://www.foxnews.com/sports/chicago-police-almost-completely-dispelled-shooting-white-sox-game-came-outside-stadium.amp Videos posted to X, formerly Twitter, showed some panicked stadium goers running away. Police wanted the game to be stopped after the shooting. Would like to have more facts or follow up regarding the second statement. Did Jerry or his minions actually tell the City / CPD no, we are not stopping the game? Or was this perhaps an initial request that was reversed by the police once they had additional information that this was an accidental discharge? I’m thinking the latter if the request is accurate.
