winninguglyin83
believe what you like, but the story in the Sun-Times this morning sez that A Row has been told by a Sox official that Ozzie is coming home to manage the club. http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-spt-sox032.html That's the link. I'm happy to see the Sox roll the dice with the younger, more enthusiatic guy. Hopefully he'll get this group to play with more passion. Cito was a hot name --10 years ago. I feared he was just looking for a check.
Capn12
Jesus, AaRow....K-Dub isn't gonna be real happy with ya if you leaked that info. And according to some, you are already treading on thin ice.....
winninguglyin83
Kenny Kool is going to be just as pissed as the 'Sox official" who told A Row. Of course, somebody might have told Rowand it 'looks' like Ozzie is ahead. And maybe he took that to mean done deal. Kenny Kool needs to chill and look at the bright side. A Row got the Sox more free pub. No harm, no foul. The Trib article that sez Oz didn't answer his phone is another good sign.
The Bones
if this is true, i'm gonna enjoy seeing ozzie back with the sox.
Rex Hudler
Rowand wasn't quoted directly in the article like Buehrle and Guillen were. That means to me that someone told the writer that Rowand told them or something like that. I wouldn't read too much into it. Especially since if KW indeed hires Guillen, it will mean that he is rewarding the guy that exclusively failed to respect his silence request. If ARow catches heat for an indirect quote, that would be a HUGE double standard.
winninguglyin83
Anybody have an idea if a press conference has been scheduled yet? Hopefully no later than Wednesday. If it's Ozzie, be interesting to see who he names as his third-base coach.

Chisoxfn
Torborg would be a hell of a 3rd base coach, but would he be willing to take that position and would it put extra pressure on Ozzie. I'd think it would take pressure off. Just let Coop handle the pitchers.

The guy he talked too was the who's trained Irod for the last 5 or 6 years and helped Irod to mantain shape and even worked on his running. Remember when he stole all those bases? IlliniBob72
I remember before people saying that the fact that Ozzie went public with his desire for the job and his allegiance to the Sox turned them off. That's fine, but I feel just the opposite. I absolutely love the fact that he wanted this job and feels that way about the Sox. Sure, it may have been b.s. to get the job, but I believe he feels that way. That is what the Sox need, someone who absolutely wants to be on the South Side. But take that for what it's worth...I also felt this way when the Blackhawks hired Dirk Graham.

Maybe I said trainer and I meant Strenth and conditioning(sp?) Coach. Sorry I said trainer, We call a trainer down here the guy that helps the players get in shape and stuff. I don't know if the guy will get the Job with Ozzie, I just posted what it said in our local paper about 2 weeks ago. It got some coverage cause the Guy is PuertoRican
