They have a lot of pitching that they will trade to the Sox and simultaneously trade those same pitchers for hitters is how I interpreted Morosi’s comments. poppysox Posted January 3, 2024 Share Posted January 3, 2024 The Cease deal needs to have next seasons starting right fielder and a 2nd baseman or starting pitcher with upside. I definitely prefer any deal have two high quality and ready for the majors' players rather than someone's idea of a haul (4 or 5 players from down the food chain) has no interest for me.
