Well one championship since 1951 in Los Angeles is a garbage record.

And the 2020 fake 60 game season and garbage 16 team playoff has a major asterisk. 1988 was the last Dodgers championship during an actual MLB season.

All 30 teams had a chance to win. The Dodgers won.

It's not an asterisk like the Trash Can Astros.

They're also consistently providing their fans with exciting baseball every season and going to the playoffs for a decade.

Every time hearing the Phillies, it's challenging not to imagine what could have happened for the Sox with Wheeler and Harper and without the likes of Grandal, Keuchel and Lynn soaking up payroll, although Lance was still very solid his first season.

Lynn and Grandal were gets, at the time. The propeller-head stat-geeks loved Grandal almost as much as they loved Tyler Flowers' framing. And yes, most free agent signings don't turn out to have every year be an MVP season. Adding Wheeler and Harper to Lynn and Grandal would have been great. (Keuchel was a fallback after Wheeler's wife chose Philly, as I remember.)

I'm guessing JR or KW pulled the plug on Harper.
