Will any team give Trevor Bauer a last shot?

Recommended Posts

Man I hope we do.  That could be a cheat code for us to skip a few steps back into contention.

Maybe stand up for him publicly.  Say evil and extortion have no place here on the south side.  And the weak that rush to judgement are just as guilty in allowing this kind of evil to flourish.  But all are forgiven that seek it.

Something like that.  Maybe heal society a little bit.  Maybe becoming this beacon of light attracts free agents to this s%*# hole of a franchise cheaply, I dunno.  We’re out of options; we’ve tried everything else ?

Why not? Give him a one year deal and if he is good, trade him.  Sox went through the Clevinger mess.  I just cannot get over how bad this team is going to be and we have no hope of a top draft pick.

No one would trade for him.

If he had a sub 3 ERA they would…how many teams have given Aroldis Chapman opportunities?

Hasn’t stopped him from collecting titles.  And what did KC get back for him last year?

Let’s not forget the whole skull fracture thing was completely fabricated.

Oakland should say f*** it. They’re leaving Oakland soon anyway. Sign Bauer and Clevinger. Who else could they sign that falls in a similar boat of scumbags or head cases?

Or the Angels. The could reunite Bauer and Clevinger with Zach Plesac.

Should.

In reality, they'll have to pay at least a 7-figure salary for each, which means they won't do it.

Nah, he sucks now. Sticky stuff guy.

He's the guy that exposed the rampant use of sticky stuff, especially regarding his arch nemesis Gerrit Cole.  Without Bauer complaining about it so much I'm not sure it ever gets the attention it did or banned.

He’s not that good anymore. And he’s been incredibly arrogant about this whole ordeal, you’d think being kicked out of the MLB and relegated to Japan (and then the Japanese minor league) might have humbled him, but nope, still the same arrogant cancer he always was. This statement is the first “apology/non-apology” he’s ever made and it’s a terrible one.

and guess what, he’s not off the hook with the rape stuff. He settled with one woman, he still has an open case in Arizona with a woman who accused him of holding a knife to her throat and choking her. There’s the third allegation too. The guy is a scumbag any way you slice it and, the key thing, he’s old and not very good at baseball. Some team will probably overpay for his slightly better teammate shota imanaga though

Imanaga is now apparently at the $95-110 million range…

Saw a special on the girl who accused Bauer of assault. Chick totally lied and set him up. Ridiculous he was out of baseball that long when it could have been solved so quickly.

and what about the other three? how many ballplayers do you know of that have been accused of sexual assault by four different women?
