South Side Hit Men
Won’t impact the White Sox affiliation agreement which runs into 2030. They are looking to get around $100 million, after paying an inflation adjusted $20 million in 1997. https://charlotte.axios.com/347369/charlotte-knights-uptown-truist-ballpark-for-sale/ https://www.bizjournals.com/charlotte/news/2024/01/08/charlotte-knights-minor-league-baseball-don-beaver.html?utm_source=st
Buehrle>Wood
Seems like Charlotte won't be getting a MLB team anytime soon.

South Side Hit Men
I don’t see Nashville not getting one of the two expansion teams. There is not enough interest in baseball within the Nashville - Charlotte - Atlanta triangle to add them both. Portlandia or Montreal are the likely second team cities, with Portland MLB’s top preference based on public funded stadium shakedown possibilities (not happening in Canada) and allowing an eighth MLB team west of the Rockies for their likely four team division scheme. NL West: Arizona, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego AL West: Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle Salt Lake City or Sacramento would be longer shots. San Jose would make most economic sense even over Portland, but the Giants would need significant compensation for that to happen. wegner
Like half the team opted for free agency and now the owners are bailing.....the joys of being under the White Sox umbrella.

Winning teams is more important for AA and AAA compared to the lower levels...but the key point is promotions/marketing and market. Also, getting legit exciting prospects to watch...at least 3-5 on a team. Getting out of the minor league baseball ownership game is more about the $100+ millionaire class replacing the $5-10 million relatively "mom and pop" type of operations. Lip Man 1
Speaking of minor league sales Mike Veeck and Bill Murray just bought controlling interest in the Joliet club. Mike's son Night Train (yes that is his real name) will be in charge of the day to day operations.
The Grinder
I feel like I've been watching minor league baseball for quite some time now
