DirtySox
Fletcher comes in at 22nd on BA's preseason D-Backs Top 30. Quote 22. Dominic Fletcher OF Ht: 5'6" | Wt: 185 | B-T: L-L BA Grade: 40/Medium Track Record: The younger brother of Angels infielder David Fletcher, Dominic spent three years at Arkansas developing a reputation for highlight-reel catches in center field and delivering more power than expected given his undersized frame. He had an uneven start to his pro career after the D-backs drafted him in the supplemental second round in 2019, but he progressively improved and had his best seasons at the upper levels. He reached the majors for the first time in 2023 and performed well in limited action before his season was cut short by a fractured left index finger. Scouting Report: Undersized at 5-foot-6, Fletcher peppers all fields with a line-drive swing. He’s primarily a contact hitter and can occasionally get into a ball to his pull side for over-the-fence power. He continues to make progress in terms of his approach, increasing his walk rate the last two years while limiting his strikeouts. He struggles somewhat against lefties, suggesting he might fit best on the strong side of a platoon. Fletcher makes up for fringe-average speed with great reads and above-average routes in the outfield, making him a plus defender at all three positions. He has above-average arm strength. The Future: Fletcher will enter spring training looking to earn a bench spot in 2024. Scouting Grades Hit: 50 | Power: 45 | Run: 45 | Field: 60 | Arm: 55 Edited February 3 by DirtySox
Harold's Leg Lift
Fletcher is a fine player and this likely means no more Gavin Sheets so it's a fantastic trade. 5 1 1

I'm actually more concerned with the fastball then the control. It's very hittable. Edited February 3 by DirtySox 1

CWSpalehoseCWS
5 minutes ago, DirtySox said: This is the only explanation. It has to be. I don't quite understand trading someone so young unless they clearly see something that is not fixable or won't play in the upper levels.
