AIM Direct Connect

I keep trying to do it, but it doesn't work. It gives me this response:

"no connection was made. Make sure that your Buddy is using the latest version of AIM. Changing your settings in the Firewall preference may help. Also both you and your Buddy may need to adjust the settings of the firewall softwar."

I have my firewall off on my comp, and I don't know what to do. Thanks.

If you just use the firewall that came with Windows XP

1)Go to Control Panel,

2)Then go to Network and Internet connections

3)Network Connections

4)Local Area Connection

5)Properties

6)Advanced

7)uncheck the box

Have you downloaded the latest version of AIM?

IF you have, you might want to check some preferences as well.
