WhiteSox2023
Lopez just said that obviously baseball is a game of failure and you aren’t going to get a hit every at bat but he has a great glove, always gives his best effort, and has those mysterious intangibles to improve the team’s culture. Even he knows he can’t hit.

Leonard Washington
I don’t see an issue with him knowing his limitations and doing what he can to contribute in other ways. If he didn’t, he’d probably be out of baseball. he’s not a first division regular, but he’s a definite major leaguer, which is more than can be said for a few guys we’ll be rostering. greg775
I'd take Massey, the pride of Brother Rice. But not Nape's Nicky. Nicky is no good IMO. Massey has potential.

Nobody seemed to care that we let Abreu go and he was Mr. Culture. Like somebody said here: Sox get no-hit Maldonado partly for culture and he loafed running out a grounder in Game One. You can't make this stuff up. ... This team culture stuff is stupid. You win big and ballplayers will be alert and pay attention. Once the losses start piling up, who cares if Maldo has a team meeting. Who cares if Lopez and his .190 average turns over the food table or breaks a helmet? Geez. Failed slogans from the ticket office's offseason brainstorming session: The 2024 White Sox: Some of the players are definite big leaguers. The 2024 White Sox: Not a threat, but we're stacked with guys from Chicago, the right parts too. The 2024 White Sox: We know our limitations. They could have non-tendered him so technically he was still a signing after they initially traded for him.
