Becareful with Weekes, the guy is strong for a streak and then he sucks a storm up. He's a kick ass backup, but not consistant enough to be a starter. But that is just my humble opnion. He got hot at the end of one year and about single handedly carried an average team to the Turner Cup. That was a great year when we had him and Bob Essensa in goal, along with guys like Eric Boguniecki and Andre Roy on the team. See, you are wrong about Weekes losing - he didn't just lose, he had his ass handed to him - he only saved 14 of 20 shots. I hope Paul Maurice wakes up and platoons Weekes and Storr. Weekes is just way too inconsistant to be a starter and his head never seems completely in the game. It's too bad Irbe is still on the payroll (he's a goalie in AA - Johnstown Chiefs I believe is who he is playing with). If Irbe wasn't, maybe the Canes could get a real goalie instead of 2 backups do the job of 1 starter. Weekes is NHL's version of D'Angelo Jiminez.
