southsider2k5
Ya, I really dont have a problem with your trade, going to look at it again, but dont see anything wrong, but I really have to think about SouthSides trade. Hey Southside, dont be offened by it, you pulled off a good trade, , just want to keep the league fair. NO big deal. I was surprised he agreed to it actually. DBAHO
This s*** is unbeleivable. Its going into thursday and my dad is wining 8-1. The Minny-Chicago game,Minny won 7-4, Gaborik had 1 Assist, thats it. What the f***????? IM soooo pissed right now, and what sucks is that im really pissed, and its just fantasy hockey. Damn I wish I was takin on ur Dad this week. Boucher, McLennan and Weekes hav all had shutouts for me so far.
Wise Master Buehrle
Although I am not in the same league as you folks, I still like to discuss fantasy hockey. My team consists of: C- Pavel Datsyuk (Picked him up via free agency, and now using him as trade bait, as his huge streak might be over) C- Robert Lang (Also picked this one up via free agency, although I dropped him earlier in the year, and when he started heating up quickly snatched him up. Also good trade bait) C- Marc Savard (I just acquired him in a trade, using him as trade bait) C, LW- Peter Forsberg (I originally had him, but didn't want to hold onto him during his time on the IR, I've predicted a huge streak of wins for Colorado now that Forsberg and Kariya have returned, hence me trading to get him back. I acquired him in the deal with Marc Savard) LW- Paul Kariya (I got rid of him during his stint on the IR, and the person who took him on released him, I just signed him today) LW- Ladislav Nagy (Good, consistent player, had him since the beginning) RW, LW- Mark Recchi- Picked him up via Free Agency, he was a good match with Jeremy Roenick whom I had awhile ago but shipped off in the Forsberg trade. The Flyers were hot in the beginning, but they've cooled off big time, which is why I was willing to trade Roenick. I also consider Recchi expendable) RW- Zigmund Palffy (Acquired him in a trade for Alexei Zhamnov before Zhamnov went on the IR. Completely ripped him off Palffy has been a stud) RW- Marian Hossa (Had him since the beginning, very consistent, I am hot after Daniel Alfreddson, as he seems a good match) My defense is exceptionally weak. I go with a tactic "If they've proven they can do it in the past, they're good enough for me". My theory with D-men is that they're not needed unless they're producing Rob Blake quality numbers, but most good D-men right have about 20-25 points, and I'm not going to give up a high tier player for a high end Defensemen since he only impacts real life games. D- Marek Zidlicky (FA) D- Adam Foote (FA) D- Brian Leetch (FA) D- Lubomir Visnovsky (FA) My goalie corps used to be quite impressive, my main two were Nikolai Khabibulin and Jocelyn Thibault, Tbo had good numbers for the games he played in. I constantly tried changing 3rd goalies, but never found a consistent one. Thibault went on the IR shortly, and I picked up Osgood as a 2nd, and he hasn't been too bad. Then I found a superb 3rd goalie in Mikka Kiprusoff. This suited me for awhile, then Kiprusoff went on the IR, and I picked up McLennan. Little did I know that Phoenix's goalie was injured and Boucher was on fire, or I might have picked him up at the expense of a D-man, but now someone else has him. G- Nikolai Khabibulin G- Chris Osgood G- Jamie McLennan I am, as of right now, in 1st place in my league, just re-attained it after the past week. My team and another are duking it out for 1st, and the 3rd place team is 40 points behind us, so we've pulled away pretty badly. By the way the whole Forsberg trade was... He gets: RW- Jaromir Jagr (He's expendable as long as he's in Washington) LW- Alex Tanguay (Tough loss, but I'd rather have Kariya) C- Jeremy Roenick (Was consistent for me, I originally offered Lang sense he had more points, but they requested Roenick instead. The Flyers aren't too hot right now, so- he gone.) I got: C- Marc Savard LW, C- Peter Forsberg LW- Paul Kariya I hope I didn't bore anyone with that, but I do like discussing fantasy sports. Questions or comments about my team, feel free to ask.

Yeah I'd love to do fantasy hockey/baseball with you guys next time. We probably can't do hockey next year though, pending if the league shuts down for a year or not. Wise Master Buehrle
TO THE PERSON WHO OWNS ZIGMUND PALFFY, ZIGGY IS OUT FOR THE YEAR, GETTING SURGERY This sucks. Ziggy Palffy will miss remainder of season January 9, 2004 LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Ziggy Palffy, the Los Angeles Kings' leading scorer, is scheduled to undergo surgery on his right shoulder Monday and will be sidelined for the rest of the season. Palffy separated his shoulder during overtime of the Kings' 4-4 tie at Anaheim on Wednesday night. He has 16 goals and 25 assists in 35 games this season. He missed five other games with facial injuries after getting hit by a puck while sitting on the bench. The surgery will be performed by team physician Dr. Ronald Kvitne, the Kings said Friday. The 31-year-old Palffy has played for the Kings for five years and ranks 13th on their career scoring list with 340 points on 150 goals and 190 assists in 311 games. A three-time All-Star, he has 318 goals and 671 points in 642 NHL games since breaking in with the New York Islanders in 1993-94. The Kings (16-14-7-4) bring a 10-game winless streak into Saturday night's game against Columbus at Staples Center.

DBAHO
yes, I got screwed. BUT, Heatley is coming back earley Febuary, so that will fill the Pallfy void in my lineup. Wanna make me a trade offa anyways. U could use a RW for da moment.
DBAHO
Your call. You make the offer. Im listening to the Vancover game right now, if Cloutier gets the win, I take the lea over my dad for this week! I wouldn't mind gettin Spezza or St. Louis back, any1 of my goalies u want? Wise Master Buehrle
Heatly's back in one month? Hmm I'm gonna sign him just to keep him on IR... thanks for the news.
DBAHO
I am thinking about Nash for Spezza, but we will see. I wouldn't mind a 2 for 2 deal invovlin those 2, cos then if that was staright up I'd hav too many centers. I've already got Marleau, Holik, Thornton, Sakic and Olli Jokinen.
