But @oldsox wins with Jim Landis being the all-time answer. Thankfully, no one mentioned a broken down Ken Griffey Jr. when Kenny acquired him. Bo Jackson. Toolsiest. Cards fans would say Edmonds. Devon White. Edited March 21 by caulfield12

Mel Allen said he was as good a defensive center fielder as Mantle or Mays. I agree. But let's also give a nod to Chet Lemon and Lance Johnson.

Great list of guys who weren't White Sox or sucked when they did tho.

Chet Lemon remains my all time Sox favorite, but Luis has a good shot of having an awesome career as well. Sure hope they keep Luis vs. another tanking trade of an all time White Sox great over the next couple of years. Quin
Wasn't able to watch, but my parents were there and said Deivi Garcia looked great at the end. Looking like a great pickup by Getz!

Should be ALL aspects of defense. Waiting for someone to mention Brian Anderson, haha.

He was excellent in a limited stint in 06, but when Robert is fully healthy Robert has a step or two on him. Robert has a "Spectacular play" level that Anderson did not have. Robert needs to continue to work on plays approaching the walls, seems to hesitate at times though I can see him still she’ll shocked after contending with his injuries and avoiding Eloy collisions until they finally pulled the plug. Thought 2020-2021 was Luis’ best year in terms of aggression and maximizing opportunities out in the field. May have stepped back a bit intentionally to prioritize maximizing games played, which makes sense both for the team and his long term career.
