wegner
Just read that Stephen Strasburg has retired. This just makes me feel old. It does not seem that long ago that they were shutting him down during a great season because he had reached his innings limit.

caulfield12
Closer Mason Miller of the A's just threw a 103.7 mph fastball. Last guy to beat that number was Jhoan Duran, who is of course out injured with the Twins due to wear and tear from his size and landing his front foot. Or Ben Joyce of the Angels/Vols. pcq
RIP Yankee pitcher and NIU star Fritz Peterson (82). Was part of a wife-swapping scandal with Yankee Mike Kekich in 1973 and Fritz later married Suzanne Kekich. I was also told he taught billiards at NIU. Per ESPN the announcement came from NIU on Friday.

flavum
Jackson Holliday is probably headed back to AAA after today. Or he should. He’ll be good someday, but he’s lost.
