You forgot Tatis...already has two errors after a GG last year, but two homers as well.

(Just noticed exclusionary act lol.)

Joe Kelly just coughed up a clean 2-0 lead over the Cards in the 7th...following up Daniel Hudson.

Now trailing...5-2.

Yikes.

Doesn't take long, just search / cut and past listening to games. Will have less time in the Summer when I prefer to walk and listen to games assuming it's not raining or over 90 F.

Tim Anderson: 34 wRC+. -.2 fWAR. Tied with Benitendi at -.2. Top 20 in baseball for sucking. Impressive.

That park will kill any chance of his power returning

Soler managed it just fine...but obviously two totally different kinds of hitters.

It certainly depressed Burger's homer count in the second half as well.

Burger's transformation from slugger into BABIP merchant is interesting. He's batting .310 to start the season but only .667 OPS.  No homers. In 291 plate appearances with the Marlins (including spring training), he's hit 11 home runs. Compare that to 323 plate appearances with the Sox last year and 25 home runs. I hope he can figure out how to hit for power and average at the same time.

Burger with 2 homers today.

Lynn got dinged up.

Anderson to .276/.633

Burger .355/.981

Burger is a legit solid player. I was a supporter of the trade at the time as we were going nowhere fast but it doesn't look like we got good value for him. TA meh. Wake me up when he gets his ISO above .50. I initially went with 100, but .50 seems reasonable for a guy currently rocking a .36 ISO. Yikes.

Poor Marlins...bailing out the White Sox by getting all the negative attention.  8-5 Cards.

Mets just had a come back to get their first win and knock DET from ranks of the unbeaten.

my comment aged poorly. 2 for 2, 2 homers, 2 walks, 2 runs. Marlins sink to 0-8.

Jason just had one of the worst HR calls you'll ever see. No doubt HR to LF and he didn't even call it a HR until about 3 beats after it landed 15 rows deep in the stands.

He wasn't good.  This isn't a shock at all.

Beating a dead horse but he's good at all the stuff any national guy is, but bad at the stuff you'd really hope any local guy would be good at -- liking calling no doubt HRs. One of the most annoying parts of Hawk in his old days was that he completely lost the ability to judge the ball off the bat and we had the whole "stretch, get on back there, caught at the track" era.

At least that made it exciting.  Instead of Jason being like "Woooowwieee a Home run", 17 seconds after it obliterated a hole in the scoreboard.
