Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record

Bill Veeck didn't have the money to compete but never stopped finding ways to entertain the fan.  Lousy teams are part of baseball but failure to entertain the fan is inexcusable.

I wonder what would be happening if we never won in 2005

It could be argued that 2005 was the worst thing to happen to this franchise because it gave JR the belief that "his way" actually does work. And he's been trying to duplicate it since then.

Run differential at -237. What was the record again?

Got me interested, so I looked it up.

In the "Modern Era", it's the 1932 Red Sox with a -345 run differential. This is probably still in play, right?

All-time is pretty safe with the Cleveland Spiders hitting -723 in 1899.
