Pastime
Are you talking about women, or relief pitchers? It doesn't matter. Both are washed up and broken down once they reach 40.

DBAHO
Now Steinbrenner's after Curt Schilling and is going to offer Nick Johnson. I hope KW's watching and dangling Maggs for Soriano and Johnson. NY Post And now David Wells on Baseball Tonite? What next?
Pastime
IMO, it will take more than just Maggs to obtain Johnson and Soriano. I truly feel that if we don't add Cotts to the mix, the Yankees won't do it.
T R U
Well I think getting Franco for Koch would be a great deal... you guys just need to see through all this modern day hype and see that hard working men can get the job done

T R U
I wouldnt mind picking up Julio Franco, he is a solid player still.. look at what he has done for the Braves. We might be able to unload Konerko to Atlanta..

Pastime
Is Steve Sparks still in the bigs? He's not all that bad .......
SuperSteve
Is Steve Sparks still in the bigs? He's not all that bad ....... Yep, long reliever on Tigers. Fell out of the rotation IIFC. I saw him pitch last year at one of the games I went to, I would take him for the minimum, sign him to a minor league deal, I would never trade for him. SoxFanForever
Sparks was traded to Oakland during the season and he is a FA now.
Pastime
He would be a cheap "change of pace" starter, but I would hope we're setting our sights a little higher!!
