Benintendi looked like a fair deal for a somewhat useful player. Maldonado even on a 1/$4M deal was laughable the moment it was signed. He's completely washed and looks as bad as many of us predicted.

The Benny deal will haunt them much longer I will give you that.

The White Sox can’t afford to pay $15 million a year to a player who isn’t going to be a major impact to your offense. That’s the kind of s%*# the Dodgers and Yankees can get away with. The Sox are fucked paying $15 million to a guy who is going to hit .275 with 3-5 home runs.

"Christopher Morel singles on a ground ball to left fielder Nolan Jones. Ian Happ scores. Seiya Suzuki scores. Christopher Morel scores. Fielding error by left fielder Nolan Jones. Throwing error by left fielder Nolan Jones."

Rockies trying to out White Sox the Sox for worst team in baseball.

Just saw highlight of that Fletcher play.  Don’t really fault him, it’s windy as hell and that’s also what happens when he sees Robert try to catch everything.

it's a tough ass play but if you're a MLB RF that is supposed to be a defense oriented guy make the damn play.

It's a 1 year $4 million deal.  Andrew Benitendi's corpse is hanging around 5 years.

He has an option for next year too. Being terrible last year didn't stop him from getting $4 million based on reputation for grindy veteranyness.

How is this stellar lineup that Getz put together not scoring any runs?

Anyone who watches baseball saw this coming a mile away, Getz is amateur hour along with every KC connection they have brought in.

He knew they wouldn’t score. Please tell me you weren’t expecting them to be anything but a bottom 5 offense.  It took one injury to a known injury risk to illustrate how bad the lineup is.  Getz tried to fill the roster as cheaply as he could.  It’s easier to get awful hitting, solid defense for cheap than actual sluggers.

Ah yeah could be

But the meaning of his message still holds true.  How many games does a manager have to lose consecutively to start the season to get fired, when he already should’ve been fired?

But his bad wrist still apparently hasn't healed yet.

Btw...when's the last time KW or Hahn consented to interviews since they were dually fired?

Robert strikes out looking completely clueless. Again. Honestly, it would be better for baseball to trade him,  and watch him play for a real organization.

he's already doing what the rest of our hitters started doing in May last year, trying to hit 8-run homers because of how hopeless everything feels

Who cares what they have to say? We heard enough from them when they were stealing JR's money and making our baseball viewing miserable.

I still can’t believe there were some few hopeful Sox fans prior to the start of the season.  What else does a Jerry-owned team have to do to prove to you that they don’t win, nor do they even try to?

I’m still stunned people thought this team could win 80+ games coming off a 101 loss season with ZERO upgrades to the roster.
