That first called strike to Colas. Dear lord.

Stone somehow bemoans it, then says robo umps had no problems in AAA, then says he'll miss the human element of bad umps.

I'm not going to miss it one bit. And I'm an older millenial prone to nostalgia. f*** these bums. They created this situation.

Sheets is a fine 1B. Who the f*** thought he was a RF tho?

He should be the 1B over Vaughn IMO. He's taller, and lefties usually have a bit of an advantage over the runner at 1st when it comes to pickoffs.

For sure. Also lefty has the advantage on throws to 2nd. It's a good spot for a tall lefty and if sheets can keep mashing he can stay there for the rest of Sox career and be a useful regular. Here's hoping.

No they didn't.  The stupid imaginary box on your TV created this situation.

Presumably the umpires have access to the same data. Presumably as highly paid professonionals they'd be able to improve their calls by practicing in the off-season against said data.

But nah. Still missing pitches by 3-4 inches on the regular.
