Reds up 3-0, this game is over, teams have to be licking their chops with the White Sox on their schedule.

Two player reactions --

"I've started ten games in a row, I'll get some rest against the Sox"

"I haven't played in weeks, I'll start two or three when the Sox are in town."

Front office plans

" He has to serve a three game suspension? When are the Sox in town?"

Advertisers

"I think we need to spend more on women's bowling this year. Pull this Sox buys"

Sports writers

"Alexa, what are 100 ways to say suck?"

Crochet needs a 3rd pitch.  Why do they continue to think pitchers can get away with facing the opposite handed hitters without one.

Especially when his velo was down 2-3 mph and getting behind in counts.

1. CwS -44 rs/ra

3. Rockies -27

He's out.

How does this idiot not touch first base?

It happens to everyone occasionally. If he lunged too far at the last second...good way to get hurt.

That hockey jersey will attract some fans.  Visibly large gap from the I to the second C in Chicago jersey script...was that intentional?

Another terrible relay throw.

Going to have to pull Garrett.

Up to 4.12 ERA.

Maybe just maybe it will cause them to slow him down a bit.  Pushing him as hard as they are is insane and everyone knows it.

Crochet obviously nowhere near as sharp as he has been, but it still should be scoreless.

I don’t feel bad for the Sox as every metric showed Maldonado would cost the pitchers strikes.

But not a huge velo difference between slider and cutter/sweeper.

Love all this talk about Fletcher's defense but he still has to be up in the mid 700s as a hitter.  Maybe you can get away with less bat in center but overall profile still more of a 4th or 5th outfielder.

Won't a work.  If everything is straight or going in to righites its a recipe for disaster vs good right handed hitting teams

All SP, not just Crochet, really need a change, splitter, or two seam to ride away from opposite handed pitchers

Pedro was right about Maldonado. He said he wasn't a .180 hitter, and he's not. He's an .080 hitter.

Robbed home run early against him was harbinger of impending doom.

Reds still have the no hitter alive but will take 4-5 guys combined.
